Abstrakt:	The classical problem of a line source, emitting an axisymmetric time-harmonic disturbance, and situated at a finite distance from a plane interface separating two different viscoelastic solids, is considered. Asymptotic expressions for the reflected, transmitted and diffracted waves are obtained. The emphasis of the work is directed towards the study of the spatial amplitude variations, induced by the presence of dissipation.
