| Abstrakt: | A total of 130 invertebrate species is recorded from three localities on the fourth, fifth, and sixth terraces at Palos Verdes Hills, California. The two lower-terrace faunas include extra-limital species, suggesting a different climatic regime than at present. However, changes in regime may have been local, controlled by the interplay of topography and hydrography on the flanks of the rising hills. |
