Abstrakt: Aspiration abortions on 67 conscious patients with pregnancies of 10 weeks' duration or less were performed successfully without cervical dilation and with minimal risk of perforation, with the use of a 6 mm. diameter flexible plastic cannula. Four other women required slight dilation of the cervix to complete the abortion. There was no significant morbidity in any patient. This simple technique should be useful in future large-scale abortion programs in licensed clinics.
