Intranasal oxytocin spray was administered to 15 pregnant women at or near term for the induction or stimulation of labor. The effect was recorded and measured by the intra-amniotic catheter technique of registering uterine contractility. The response to oxytocin administered by the intranasal route was compared with the response elicited by the intravenous route. |
