| Abstrakt: |
An example of inflammatory fibroid polyp of the ileum is described. Unusual features were infiltration and replacement of the muscularis propria and frequent mitoses in the proliferating cells. The lesion was at the apex of supply of an occluded mesenteric artery. As the nature of these lesions is not known, this observation suggests that ischaemia may be a causative factor. |
