Abstrakt: ABSTRACTMalaria is an important mimic or coinfection in potential Ebolavirus disease patients. Here, we evaluated the efficacy of the 100% methanol-inactivating Zaire Ebolavirus Makona variant for malaria thin-smear preparation. We determined that 100% methanol completely inactivated the virus after 15 min.
