Abstrakt: 1)The clinical characteristics and pathology findings in primary sarcoma of the lung are evaluated on the basis of 35 cases, 34 of which have been reported in the literature and to which we have added another case.2)Primary sarcoma of the lung is a rare tumor, found only slightly more frequently in males than in females. It occurs in persons under 40 years of age as often as it does in those over 40.3)The clinical picture and roentgen manifestations of this type tumor can be quite similar to bronchogenic carcinoma. No distinguishing characteristics to aid in the differential diagnosis are found.4)Surgical resectbl1lity of pulmonary sarcomas may be higher than for carcinomas of the lung.
