Abstrakt:	Soluble supernatant fractions from two strains of Claviceps purpureawere tested for the presence of enzymes capable of methylating tryptamine, 5-hydroxytryptamine, tyramine, and nicotinamide. The latter compound was the only one of the substrates tested in which methylation took place.
