Various models of ego states and of presenting the concept of ego states reflect different aspects of Berne's theory of personality structure. The relationship of the models to each other to personality structure is examined. The necessity for consistency in the conceptualization of ego states and in the vocabulary used in communicating about ego states is emphasized. |
