Abstrakt: Heterogeneous superconducting materials were prepared from pure YBa2Cu3O7(with zero resistance below 91 K and Jc= 300 A/cm2at 77 K and zero applied field) by additions of Ag up to 60 wt.%. Their basic properties (Tc, Jc, resistivity at 300 K and 100 K, contact resistance at 77 K, density, X-ray diffraction data) were measured. It has been found that the introduction of Ag decreases the porosity and reduces strongly the resistivity above the transition temperature as well as the contact resistance, whereas the critical current density decreases only slightly up to 40 wt.% Ag.
