| Abstrakt: | On the basis of g.l.c., u.v., i.r., n.m.r. and m.s. data, dehydroascorbic acid obtained by oxydation of L-ascorbic acid in aqueous solution mainly exists as a bicyclic hydrated species, i.e.3,6-anhydro-L-xylo-hexulono-I,4-lactone hydrate. |
