Fermi surface measurements in 2H-TaSe2

| Abstrakt: | Measurement of the de Haas-van Alphen effect at 1.3 K in 2H-TaSe2reveals a Fermi surface consisting of four large, undulating cylinders parallel to the c-axis, demonstrating the two-dimensional nature of the electronic energy band structure. The large cylinders are consistent with geometrically remapped band structure calculations, as well as with preliminary results of calculations which take into account the charge density wave directly. |
