Recently, generalized metric spaces have been introduced in which every triplet of points is assigned to a non-negative real number. Several metric-related studies have been successfully transferred to this space. Best proximity point problems are results related to finding minimum distances between subsets of a space. The mathematical methods we use here are based on the specialized structure of the generalized metric space. Iterations leading to the solutions of the considered problems are constructed. Two theorems are deduced. An illustrative example is given which indicates that the two theorems are different. Our results give an essential use of the G-metric concept. |
