Abstrakt: The mites Phyllocoptruta oleivora (Ashmead) and Aculops pelekassi (Keifer) were dipped in plastic-lined cartons and in glass beakers containing 3 concentrations of 5 insecticides (cthion, carbophenothion, chlorobenzilate, dicofol, and dioxathion). Mortality was always significantly lower in the plastic-lined container. Plastic liners probably affect results obtained with other compounds.
