Considerable experimental work has been conducted to determine the action of various fumigants on the different stages of the bedbug, Cimex lectularius L., but no experiments have been reported in which the five-hour median lethal concentration has been used as a basis for comparison. It is the purpose of this paper to present experimental results comparing the toxicity of hydrogen cyanide, chlorpicrin and ethylene oxide to eggs, nymphs and adults of the bed-bug. |
