An Automatic Chemosterilizing Insect Light Trap

Abstrakt: Insects entering a light trap are deposited on a chemosterilant-treated belt and released after 16-1/2 min. The belt is automatically recoated with 6% tepa solution every 4th day. In tests with Culex pipiens quinquifasciatus Say, an average of more than 99% of the males and females entering the trap were stnilized by the technique.
