Thirty-six varieties of red raspberry were evaluated for susceptibility to attack by adult and larval forms of Byturus rubi Barber. While flower buds of certain varieties were significantly more preferred by feeding adults, all varieties were acceptable for oviposition and larval attack of the fruit. The earliest fruits harvested had higher percentages of fruit damage than did the later fruit. Fruit borne on annual canes was free of adult and larval damage. |
