Abstrakt: Adult raphidiids are moderate sized, slender, predatory insects with elongate-cylindrical prothorax; head large, nearly horizontal, mandibles strong, antennae long, threadlike; ovipositor long; cerci not developed; wings membranous, both pairs similar, with numerous forkings, the costal cells with crossveins, subcosta not fused with the first radial; legs similar, first pair attached at base of prothorax, tarsi 5-jointed. Metamorphosis complete; terrestrial. (Carpenter, 1936.)
