Abstrakt: It is well known that chemical spot tests contribute to and are used for the identification of various substances [1–5]. From this information, chemical spot test kits have been commercially developed which are used by many law enforcement agencies for the identification of narcotics and drugs of abuse. There are basically two types of problems associated with the use of these kits, one which is inherent in the color reaction and the other which lies with color interpretation.
