Abstrakt: Acoustic reflex latency can be prolonged in subjects with an acoustic tumor. Before reflex latency becomes employed clinically, methods for latency measurement should be standardized to reduce variability. In this investigation, the temporal characteristics of reflex latency were examined in humans and in monkeys. A method of latency determination that minimizes variability is described.
