Polarization and grating interferometers in ballistic experiments

Abstrakt: Methods of improving the quality of interferograms, obtained by means of polarization or grating interferometers used with a multi-mode pulsed laser as a light source, have been proposed. The adjustment procedure developed essentially allows the illuminating aperture size to be increased and, thus, a reduction of the speckle-effect. Tests have been carried out using a ballistic facility. The interferograms obtained are presented together with the processed results.
