Abstrakt: In this essay we examine the sharply contested Supreme Court ruling in the case of Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission, which struck down restrictions against corporations, unions, and advocacy groups’ funding ads that support or oppose political candidates. We review the literature that examines the conceptual and critical issues involved with corporate personhood.
