The U. V. spectra of the chloro‐complexes of copper (I) and lead (II) were studied in various concentrations of calcium and magnesium chloride. Algebraic formulae were developed for the simultaneous and direct determination of trace amounts of copper and lead in the HCl soluble fraction of carbonate rocks. Interference due to background absorbance was reduced by the use of these formulae. |
