The kinetics of the anodic reaction at the CuI/glassy carbon interface was studied. Tafel-type behavior was found, with two alternative processes: charge transport by electronic holes, predominant at low overpotentials, in parallel with the always present decomposition of the electrolyte at the CuI/glassy carbon interface, the rate-controlling step of the latter process being the recombination reaction of the adsorbed iodine atoms. |
