Abstrakt: Suicide is the second most common cause of death of adolescent females, and girls attempt suicide much more frequently than boys. Trauma, including sexual abuse or rape, is well known as a risk factor for suicide and suicidal risk. Our prior retrospective study of suicidal adolescent females revealed a 50% incidence of sexual abuse. The purpose of this prospective study is to confirm that high frequency.
