This is the introductory film in a series of 10 dealing with fractures of the long bones. It is concerned not so much with techniques of management as with the principles underlying the techniques. These principles are dramatized by a situation in an isolated farmhouse where a doctor is confronted with the necessity of reducing various fractures without the aid of the many gadgets available in hospitals.
