Abstrakt: TO THE EDITOR: I have read with interest the petition to the United States Senate and House of Representatives for the restoration of the beer feature of the canteen, published in The Journal, Dec. 16, 1911, also a letter from Dr. W. W. Keen of Philadelphia on the same subject, published Dec. 30, 1911.As a champion of the beerless canteen or exchange, I feel it my duty to briefly reply. It is not my intention to enter into a lengthy discussion of the subject, for the reason that I published in the Continent, Dec. 7, 1911, an article entitled, "The Truth About the Beerless Canteen," which in my opinion supplies all the arguments necessary to combat the contentions made by the advocates of the restoration of beer.
