Abstrakt: THE EVERLASTING search for the fountain of youth has prompted cosmetic surgeons to devise new methods for eradicating age-telling facial lines. In recent years greater emphasis has been placed on the appearance of the eyes. A desire for the high lateral elevation of the eyebrows, giving the eyes a slightly slanted appearance, recently described as the "doe-look" prompted the innovation of this rather simple surgical procedure. In addition to face-lifting and blepharoplasty, a new concept for eradication of the lines around the lateral aspect of the eyes, commonly alluded to as "crows feet" has evolved. This consists in removal of a large tearshaped ellipse of skin, including subcutaneous tissues, just above the eyebrow with the large segment lateralward, and the subsequent approximation of the subcutaneous tissues with catgut sutures, followed by fine silk sutures for closure of the skin.
