Abstrakt: • Malignant melanoma of the ciliary body and choroid of the right eye developed in a 49-year-old man with right nevus of Ota. Initially the tumor appeared cystic on indirect ophthalmoscopic and ultrasonographic examination, but, with further growth, the cystic component was no longer detectable. The enucleated eye showed a malignant melanoma with multilocular cavities containing mucoproteinaceous material and no necrosis.
