| Abstrakt: |
• Six pathologically proved cases of colloid cyst of the third ventricle were studied with computed tomography. Three cysts had density greater than brain density and were enhanced after contrast medium administration. Two were isodense and nonenhancing. One was not visualized, but did cause hydrocephalus. Although not emphasized in previous reports, definite calcification was seen in pathologic material in five cases and may partially account for the increased radiodensity noted. |
