Abstrakt: • A 24-year-old woman took birth control pills and six months later severe headaches, convulsions, and hemiparesis on the left side developed. A computed tomographic scan showed multiple areas of subcortical hemorrhage in both hemispheres and an initial angiogram was interpreted as normal. A later angiogram showed extensive cerebral venous thrombosis in both hemispheres. Despite being critically ill with incipient transtentorial herniation, the patient made an excellent recovery with conservative therapy.
