Abstrakt: This is the second Year Book of Dermatologic Surgery. Compared with the first, it has expanded from 250 to over 300 pages. The same three editors continue to do a magnificent job in summarizing and critiquing various studies from the literature of dermatologic surgery.Before the standard chapters, the National Institutes of Health Consensus Conference Report on the diagnosis and treatment of early melanoma was presented, with comments by Drs Swanson and Rigel.The book is divided into four chapters, the first being a discussion of concepts and techniques. The basic materials of dermatologic surgery, including techniques and wound healing, are discussed. Not only do these masters of surgery provide useful information but the book also has its share of humor.
