Two brothers with identical bizarre eruptions were recently seen. Their dermatosis was of a type we had never before encountered. Fortunately, however, we had recently read the article by Orlando Canizares et al., "Idiopathic Atrophoderma of Pasini and Pierini.''1 According to their detailed and excellent description, there could be no doubt that these patients' lesions were examples of that entity.Since the above-mentioned article is the only one by that name in the English-language dermatological literature, and since this condition has never been described in more than one member of a family, it was felt that this report might add a modicum of information about this unfamiliar dermatosis.Two brothers, aged 17 and 19, respectively, presented themselves on April 1, 1958.
