Abstrakt: Nowadays the global ecological and environmental problems have become increasingly prominent. Land deterioration seriously restricts the regional development of society and economy and threats to the survival of humans. We carried out a series of experiments on ecological restoration of melilotus offcinalia in various types of environment like strong saline-alkali land, barren land and mine land for the first time. The comparison of soil indexes between restoration soil and background soil shows that melilotus offcinalia can removal off salinity and base of the strong saline-alkali soil and increase the nutrient contents in various types of soil. Moreover, melilotus offcinalia can improve physical properties of soil, which will increase the land coverage and improve land productivity. Consequently, melilotus offcinalia can be promoted in stages for soil amelioration and ecological restoration in various types of ecological environment.
