Abstrakt: Critics of Educational Technology often claim that school programs begin with the acquisition of the hardware then the search for applications. Often the reason for this dilemma is not neglect or indifference, but a lack of paradigm or methodology to address such issues. Demographics, “the statistical study of human populations with reference to size and density, distribution, and vital statistics,” offers an alternative methodology in planning for future educational software needs [1]. The article discusses what demographics dictates about future U.S. and international educational software.
