Abstrakt: Physicians are spending a great deal of time and effort in the study of disease in order to prolong life. Yet according to Accident Facts, 1957 Edition,1 the leading cause of deaths for persons of from one to 24 years of age is accidents. Motor vehicle accidents account for 42% of all accidents. In the age group from 25 to 44 years, heart disease is the leading cause of death, with accidents second and cancer third.
