| Abstrakt: | To the Editor.—The letter "Otosclerosis Associated With Osteopoikilosis" (1981;246:2030) raises some interesting points.In 1967,1 I published two reports of cases of familial juvenile elastoma with otosclerosis and osteopoikilosis and commented that although the presence of otosclerosis in case 1 may have been fortuitous, it was possible that a bony plaque similar to those found in the long bones could affect the cortical bone near the oval window in the middle ear. |
