Abstrakt: The Health of China presents a wealth of information on the changes and present status of health care in the People's Republic of China. The authors' four visits to China have given them excellent insight into the philosophy, politics, and practice of Chinese medicine. Ruth Sidel is an associate professor of sociology at Hunter College of the University of New York and Victor W. Sidel is chairman of the Department of Social Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center and professor of community health at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.Thirty-two years after the Bolshevik Revolution, the Chinese liberation resulted in the founding of the People's Republic of China.
