Abstrakt: AbstractThe volatile constituents of Achillea millefoliumssp. elbursensiswere isolated by different methods of distillation (hydrodistillation and steam distillation) and analyzed by GC and GC/MS. The major constituents of A. millefoliumssp. elbursensisoil by hydrodistillation from the fower were chamazulene (54%), camphor (8%) and isoborneol (7.6%), while the leaf oil contained chamazulene (35%), isoborneol (18.2%) and p-cymene (14.8%). The major oil constituents from the fower (by steam distillation) were chamazulene (78.4%) and longifolene (7.6%), while the major constituents of the leaf oil were chamazulene (82.5%) and germacrene B (3.6%).
