In the present study, we investigated the possibilities for radiolabeling of antibodies with trivalent 201Tl, to be applied in Radioimmuscintigraphy. Our preliminary experiments were focused on the development of a method for oxidation of 201Tl(I) into a form suitable for antibody labeling via DTPA as chelating agent. We also studied methods for the determination of the radiochemical purity of 201Tl(III) and of 201Tl labeled radioimmunoconjugate, as well as for the optimization of procedures for labeling antibodies with 201Tl(III). The in vitrostability of 201Tl‐radioimmunoconjugate was determined, and the biodistribution of 201Tl(III) and 201Tl‐radioimmunoconjugate in normal rodents was evaluated. |
