Abstrakt: HUMAN bone marrow contains cells which form leukocyte colonies of 50 or more cells. Each such colony arises from a single cell1, belonging predominantly to the myeloid series2,3, which is subject to regulation in vitro by humoral colony-stimulating factor generated by peripheral leukocytes4,5.
