Abstrakt: IN our laboratories bentonite flocculation tests1are generally used for the titration of antigens and antisera. To reduce non-specific reactions, surfactants are sometimes added to the bentonite suspensions. Recently a report has appeared suggesting that the surfactants have an adverse effect on biological systems2. We therefore decided to examine the effect of surfactants on antigen-antibody reactions.
