Abstrakt: THE Vestfold Hills, one of the so-called Antarctic oases, make up an area of exposed rock on the coast of Princess Elizabeth Land, Antarctica. The hills, together with the numerous adjacent islands, form a triangular area about 30 km across. The Australian National Antarctic Research Expedition (ANARE) station Davis is situated in the south-west of the hills at lat. 68° 35′ S., long. 77° 58′ E.
