Abstrakt: SYSTEMATIC investigations of the fibrinolytic activity in tissues of man and various mammalian species have revealed interesting differences in distribution among different organs and tissues1. The distribution in the female reproductive system and the effects thereon of hormones have received special attention. Employing an extraction method and the fibrin plate assay2a cyclic fluctuation in concentration of plasminogen activator in human endometrium with an increase in the secretory stage was observed3. Decidual tissue and placenta were inactive. The hormonal influence on the fibrinolytic activity of the endometrium was confirmed in rats treated with oestradiol4.
