Abstrakt: IT has been shown that Ehrlich mouse ascites tumour cells in vitro readily absorb palmitic acid and use it as an energy source and for synthesis of other lipids1. Although this has not been demonstrated for blood cells, it has been reported by several investigators that these cells are able to synthesize lipids from acetate2–5.
