Abstrakt: With the industrial revolution in England, humanity entered a period one principal feature of which is characterized by the rapid development of machine technology and the acceleration of industrial progress. Virtually all countries have entered (or are entering) the path of creating modern large-scale industry. But to this day only a few of them have passed entirely through the stage of industrialization, while a majority still have that before them. This is why issues of the paths and methods of industrialization, its growth rates, sources of accumulation, social consequences, and the like, are so pressing. The conclusions derived from the study of any one of these questions are not only scientific but political in significance. Interest in the study of socialist industrialization, particularly in analysis of the historical experience of the transformation of history's first land of proletarian dictatorship from an agrarian to an industrially developed country, is particularly great.
