At a joint meeting of the Academic Council and the historiography team, held at the History Institute on March 13, 1963, S. V. Cherepnin's chapter, "Soviet Historical Scholarship in the Struggle With Bourgeois and Petty-Bourgeois Historiography and the Role of Pokrovskii in the Evolution of Historical Scholarship" ("Sovetskaia istoricheskaia nauka v bor'be s burzhuaznoi i melkoburzhuaznoi istoriografiei i rol' Pokrovskogo v razvitii istoricheskoi nauki"), was read and discussed. It is to be published in Vol. 4 of Essays in the History of Historical Scholarship in the USSR (Ocherki istorii istoricheskoi nauki v SSSR). Chronologically, the paper covers the period from 1917 to the early 1930's. |
