New Developments Concerning the Industrial Noise Problem

Abstrakt: Because interest in industrial noise appears to be continuing there is need to train those who have responsibilities with this problem. There exists today adequate educational sources, Research continues to shed more light on the relationship between noise exposure and hearing loss, and allows the development of more dependable criteria. However, the author cautions that present criteria must be used with judgment. It appears that this country is approaching the acceptance of a single definition for hearing impairment and this definition is being included in compensation laws. The devices and techniques used for evaluating and controlling noises are constantly improving.
