Abstrakt: Human volunteers were exposed to fluorocarbon 113 at concentrations of 500 and 1000 ppm for five days, three hours in the morning and three hours in the afternoon at each concentration, to determine the effect of repeated exposures to this compound. A control period preceded the exposures. Clinical observations, laboratory tests, subjective impressions, and measurement of psychomotor performance were used to determine possible compound effects. These tests and observations did not reveal evidence of any adverse effects resulting from the exposures. A general improvement in the psychomotor test scores occurred and may have been due to a continued learning effect, Analysis of breath samples did not indicate a significant body buildup of fluorocarbon 113.
