Several new benzoijpyrano2,3bquinolizine8ones 5and 4Hpyrano2,3bpyridine 8derivatives were synthesized from 4hydroxyquinolines 1. Reacting 3acetyl4hydroxy1phenyl1Hquinoline2one with dimethylformamide dimethylacetal afforded 33Dimethylarninoacryloyl4hydroxy1phenyl1Hquinolin2one 9. This reacted with hippuric acid and diethyl 3oxoglutarate to give 2Hpyran2one 13and pyranopyridoquinoline 17respectively. |
